The Kintner’s Missionary Update

  June 27, 2018

“And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to them that love God, to them

who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

We send you greetings from the mountaintop near Binghamton, NY where we have passed the halfway point of our journey attending conferences and visiting supporting churches and individuals since June 1st. We were blessed by the EBI Retreat in East Tennessee the first week, and have visited 5 supporting churches and will be in our home church Lord willing this Sunday, July 1st. We have been blessed to meet new folks at each church, and renew fellowship with many we have known for years. We were also able to attend the graduation exercises of two grandchildren, and spend time with all three of our children and their families.

As many of you know, we travel with our old 27 ft. camper on trips in order to maintain comfort for Elaine with her back problems, and Paul with his allergy problems. It is very comfortable and many times we park alongside of our children’s house, and other times in RV parks. It has been a delightful experience, especially on the mountaintop here in NY. Our 2004 Expedition carried the camper well so far over 1,200 miles, as well as many more miles the days we visit churches. Last Sunday (June 24th) we visited a church in Corning, NY, and in the evening in Cincinnatus, NY, both within 2 hours of our trailer. On the return Sunday night, we sensed difficulties in the transmission of the vehicle. Monday morning Paul checked the fluids, and added some fluids, especially for the transmission, and the problem persisted, even worse. He went grocery shopping about 10 miles away and stocked our kitchen for the week, and almost made it back to the trailer, within 2 miles, when the car refused to shift into gear.

He called a tow truck who graciously loaded the car, brought Paul and the groceries to the camper, and then to the mechanic in nearby Harpursville. Here we are in our little trailer in a beautiful RV Park, house full of food, no car, and no commitments until next Sunday! Isn’t God good! The bad news is, new transmission, $3,900, and the good news is, we know God will provide. We have local friends from years back whom we can call if we need transportation.  We have had visitors come to us, and expecting more this week. Lord willing the car (and trailer) will be ready to move to Ohio next Monday.

Paul has been able to attend to some EBI business on the computer while away, and Monday, June 25th, Paul’s brother David delivered several boxes to Miami for shipment to Chile. Paul usually does that. Thanks Dave! The new “Systematic Theology” (Roland McCune) arrived from the printer and is being shipped out as orders come in. Pray for the next printing project for next month, “Christ Centered Counseling” and funds to cover that expense. Other new books are in process of translation and formatting for the coming months.

We thank you sincerely for your prayers and faithful support. We are so blessed to have many who have supported us over 50 years! May God richly bless you!

In His service,

Paul and Elaine Kintner
